Thunder Racing began designing LS1 camshafts in 1998, and our cams have proven to be some of the most reliable power-makers on the block.  Although camshaft sizes have gotten more aggressive over the years, these cams are tried-and-true in a variety of applications, with the perfect mixture of power and drivability.  If you need assistance with cam selection, please contact our sales department.

"TR 220-112" - 220/220  .551/.551 112 LSA 1500-6500 RPM Power Band. Computer Tuning Required with automatic transmission cars. A very well balanced camshaft that makes excellent power across the entire RPM range. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

"Split Pattern" - 224/227  .563/.569 114 LSA For nitrous and supercharger applications.  This cam will check in the 226 range on the exhaust lobe.  2200-6800 RPM Power Band.  Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars.  Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
"Reverse Split" - 227/224  .569/.563 114 LSA  (This cam will check in the 226 range on the intake lobe.) 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars. Better piston/valve clearance than 230/224 cam for applications using heavily milled heads and/or larger than stock valves.  Slightly smoother idle than 230/224 cam. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.
