Chevy muscle cars never came standard with Hooker Super Competition headers but they should have! GM’s new family of Gen III/IV high performance LS-1/ LS-2 / LS-6 / LS-7 engines are gaining a strong following in racing and
street performance. You can build a "restified" muscle car with a Gen III/IV for big block power and modern reliability. The most popular GM muscle cars are either F or A Bodies. F-Bodies are the legendary Camaro and Firebirds. The ABodies are the mighty Chevelle SS and its cousins. GM made quite a few of the mid-sized LeMans/Cutlass/Skylarks that became fire breathing GTOs/442s/Grand Sports. Don’t forget that the cool El Camino and Sprint derivative are A-Bodies as well.
Hooker is 1st to market with a readily available full length Gen III/IV engine swap header for these muscle machines. They are of course built to Hooker’s classic Super Competition specifications with our tuned length primaries, smooth bends and long transition collectors. These look as great hanging on the wall as they do in your engine compartment.
Hooker’s GM F & A Body headers completely eliminate the need for a compromising ¾ length configuration. They were designed from the “tight-tuck” collector up for tuned length and maximum ground clearance. They will work with Hooker’s engine mount adapter plate set (12611HKR) combined with stock small block Chevy mounts and frame towers.
Running EFI? We include a pair of 3” to 2.5” reducers with O2 bungs. Want EFI and a 3” exhaust, no problem. We include a pair of O2 bungs for your exhaust pipes. Want to be a traditionalist and run a carburetor? Don’t worry; your headers come clean without fittings or useless holes.
