For maximum flow area—more than other comparable fittings on the market.
Aeromotive’s tapered flare fittings offer a smooth transition from the radius of the fitting to the 37° flare —the smoothest transition available on the market today. Fittings are CNC-machined from 6061-T651 billet aircraft grade aluminum alloy, protected by a type II bright dip black anodized finish. Sizes range from –6 AN to –12 AN. See individual component groups for details.
In order to better understand fitting descriptions and to ensure you order the correct P/N's, please note:
• All cut-off adapter fittings are designed for the cut-off side to be installed into a port (the 37 degree male flare has been removed) and the inside has been radiused for flow. These fittings require the included O-ring to be installed, for proper sealing.
• All cut-off reducer fittings are cut-off on the larger side only, for installation into a port with an O-ring, reducing to a smaller AN 37 degree male flare. Ideal for adapting larger ports to smaller AN lines.
