Since the panhard rod is responsible for keeping the rear end centered in the chassis, there is a significant load placed on the panhard rod mounts during cornering. Due to this load, the factory reinforced the mount with a vertical brace that parallels the panhard rod. Unfortunately this brace is little more than stamped, light gauge metal and does little for reinforcement. BMR's beefy panhard support reinforces this critical mount to prevent deflection and can be easily installed in less than 1 hour. 1993-2002 Camaro and Firebird versions also relocate the factory panhard mounting point to allow for up to dual 3" exhaust system to be routed over the rear axle.
All of BMR's suspension and chassis components are powdercoated in black hammertone (click link for color sample.) This color was chosen for its neutral characteristics and is a very durable hybrid powdercoat, designed specifically for outdoor environments.
