1997-2004 Corvette RPM Activated Switches

The MSD RPM Activated Switch can be used in a variety of applications where a device needs to be activated at a specific RPM point. By supplying a ground to devices such as solenoids, lights, beepers and retard devices the RPM Activated Switch can be programmed to activate the functions of these devices at any RPM. The RPM point at which the activation occurs is easily adjusted using the same RPM plug-in modules that are used on the MC-2 Ignition. No RPM modules are supplied with the unit and must be ordered separately. See below for a complete listing of RPM Modules available. 

The RPM Activated Window Switch enables you to activate and then deactivate a circuit at adjustable rpm points. This is a great feature for engines using nitrous systems so the nitrous can be turned off just before the high rev limit of the engine. The Switch will provide a ground to activate a circuit and can handle up to 1.5 amps. The rpm levels are easy to adjust with the same plug-in modules used with other MSD rpm controls. It can be used on stock inductive ignitions as well as high performance capacitive discharge controls.

The MSD RPM Module Kits and RPM Module Selectors give you a full selection of RPM values to choose from. The individual modules and Module Selectors plug into the MSD MC-2, Shift Light , RPM Activated Switch and the Two or Three Step Module Selectors. The MSD RPM Module Selector is equipped with a positive stop knob that can be used to select any one of twelve different rpm limits. The Modules come in sets of five within a 1,000 rpm range. For example, the 4,100 rpm set includes 4,100, 4,300, 4,500, 4,700 and 4,900 modules. The Modules work in any of the MSD Soft Touch Rev Controls or RPM Controllers.

The MSD RPM Module Selector plugs directly into the rpm module socket on all MSD 6A, 6AL, 7AL-2, Soft Touch Rev Control, and all other MSD accessories that use plug-in modules. The user can then select between twelve different rpm limits by simply turning the knob. Six models are available to cover a range from 3,000 rpm to 12,800 rpm in 200 rpm increments.
