1998-2002 LS1 F-Body Valve Covers & Accessories

Katech designed and manufactured a cast aluminum valve cover for the LS1 and LS6 engines. These covers are a raised design which allows clearance for any LS1 style rocker arm. Unlike the C5-R covers, these use the stock gasket for sealing. This eliminates the expensive cylinder head o-ringing process. Just like the stock covers, these are totally isolated from the head by rubber. That means they will seal just as good as the stock covers do.

Another key feature is provisions for coil relocation brackets. These brackets allow the coils to be mounted off the top of the cover. This makes taking the covers on and off easier by removing the cover and coils as one piece instead of two for solid lifter valve lash adjustment.

Crankcase pressure has long been considered detrimental to engine performance and gasket sealing. As pressures increase through performance and age gaskets often begin to leak. By venting the crankcase to atmosphere those pressures are greatly reduced. Metco valve cover breathers are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. Other features include:
