1998-2002 LS1 F-Body Torque Arms

Factory torque arms do a great job at robbing horsepower and torque and "dissolving" it into the chassis. Replace your weak, flexible stamped metal torque arm with a rigid BMR tubular version and put that power where it is supposed to be - the pavement! Made from MIG welded 1.25" x .120" tubing with heavy 3/8" mounting plates. Bolts directly in place of factory torque arm using all factory mounting locations. Requires no welding or drilling and clears all factory or aftermarket exhausts. Available in your choice of adjustable (equipped with a rear adjuster for altering pinion angle) or non-adjustable. Includes a new, low deflection polyurethane front mounting bushing. Works on 1982-2002 Camaro or Firebird ('82-'84 requires purchase of '85 or newer torque arm "clamshell" mount)
NOTE: This torque arm has been safely tested to 11.0 in the quarter mile and is not recommended beyond. These restrictions are due to the limitations of the transmission tailshaft housing mount, not the torque arm. If your car exceeds these levels of performance, the BMR Trak Pak or Xtreme Duty torque arm is recommended to remove the stress from the transmission tailshaft.
All of BMR's suspension and chassis components are powdercoated in black hammertone (click link for color sample.) This color was chosen for its neutral characteristics and is a very durable hybrid powdercoat, designed specifically for outdoor environments.
Take the load off of your transmission tailshaft by relocating the torque arm mount with this kit from BMR. This kit replaces your transmission crossmember with a stronger tubular piece that also has an integrated torque arm
mount. The mount itself is adjustable up and down to allow easy "instant center" adjustment. Made from heavy wall DOM tubing and 1/4" mounting plates, all hardware included. NOTE: As shipped,
this part is designed to work with BMR torque arms only. It may be used with stock or other brands by simply replacing the bushing with the compatible unit. Example: A Random Technology torque arm will require the use of a
Random Technology bushing. All of BMR's suspension and chassis components are powdercoated in black hammertone (click link for color sample.) This color was chosen for its neutral characteristics and is a very durable hybrid powdercoat, designed specifically for outdoor environments.

Eliminate traction problems with the BMR Trak Pak. This design eliminates the transmission tailshaft stress by relocating the torque arm front mount. Shorter torque arm moves the "instant center" rearward for improved weight transfer on acceleration. The Universal Trak Pak consists of the adjustable torque-arm and universal crossbrace and must be welded to your existing subframe connectors. Rear end mounting plates are made from strong, laser cut 3/8 " cold rolled steel. Equipped with a rear adjuster to allow on-car pinion angle adjustments up to 6 degrees for dragstrip tuning and your choice of rubber or polyurethane front mount. Torque arm is made from 1.25" x .120" DOM tubing while cross brace is made from 1-5/8" x .120" DOM tubing. Crossbrace and subframe connectors require welding. NOTE: Will not work with "diamond" style subframe connectors.
NOTE: Mounting bracket may require additional clearancing for some aftermarket rear ends. Use of this product will produce additional road noise and is recommended for the serious enthusiast only.

Intended for cars running ET's below 10.50's, this bulletproof torque arm will survive anything you can throw at it. Constructed entirely from TIG welded 1.25" x .095" 4130 chrome moly tubing.
Additional reinforcements include:
- Gusseted rear mounting bracket
- Solid 4130 Rod eyes instead of spherical rod-ends
- Reinforced front bushing mount
- Additional cross bracing

If you want serious performance, handling, and traction when you're at the dragstrip, AutoX, or road racing, then you need a Spohn Performance fully adjustable torque arm.• Attaches to the rear axle and controls rear end torque during acceleration, transferring this energy into the tires, increasing straight line traction
• Reduces nose-dive during braking
• Eliminates wheelhop
• Increases sidebite during corner exit acceleration
• Bolt-on system does not require complete interior removal as with other kits
• No fabrication, welding or drilling required - 100% bolt-in installation!
• Removes the torque arm pivot point from the rear of the transmission to the supplied crossmember
• Changes the instantaneous center and leverage point from stock
• Provides adjustable pinion angle
• Poly version utilizes polyurethane front mount to keep noise at a minimum
• Rod ended version utilizes a QA1 extra high strength, chrome moly spherical rod end with Teflon®/Kevlar® self lubricating race for those who demand the best in bind-free performance and strength
• FREE angle finder included to set pinion angle
