2003-2009 Hummer H2/H3 Fluids & Additives

Max-Gear® is recommended for use in truck and automotive front or rear differentials, manual transmissions and lower gear units of marine engines that specify use of an API GL-5 or GL-4 fluid. Max-Gear® is an ultra-tough, high performance, GL-5 automotive gear oil designed to provide maximum protection to heavily loaded gears while maximizing power output throughout the drive train. It outperforms other GL-5 gear oils because it combines the highest quality synthetic oils with Royal Purple's proprietary Synslide® additive technology.

Red Line 75W90 is recommended for most street driven and racing differentials and has excellent performance in conventional and limited-slip units. Also for limited-slip manual transaxles which require a 90 WT oil. Contains limited-slip friction modifiers.

Shockproof Gear Oils are recommended for heavily -loaded racing differentials and transmissions which see shock-loading. ShockProof contains a unique solid dispersion which cushions gear teeth to help prevent tooth breakage and allows the use of lower viscosities. Available as Superlight, Lightweight and Heavy grades. 

GM's limited slip rear end additive prevents chatter and rear end noise in limited slip and posi-traction applications.  Required when adding new fluid to your posi-traction rear end.
