2005-2010 Corvette Underdrive Pulleys

Underdrive pulley systems increase engine horsepower by reducing the amount of power required to drive external engine accessories. For example, the alternator, power steering, water pump and air conditioner all rob horsepower from the engine. By replacing factory-sized crank and accessory drive pulleys with a resized pulley, the accessories are slowed, resulting in more horsepower available to drive the rear wheels. Typically, a set of underdrive pulleys will increase output by 7-12 horsepower, resulting in quarter mile improvements of .1 to .2 seconds.

SLP's new 25% underdrive balancer for LS1/LS6/LS2 Corvette's incorporates a number of high-quality features you won't find on any other aftermarket unit. Chief among them are a pair of extra-tall belt-retention walls that eliminate the belt-slippage issues common to other balancers (see photo). Gains of up to 10 horsepower can be expected. Other unique design strengths include 100% steel construction (other brands use steel and aluminum), integral timing marks, and built-in puller-mounting threads.
