2008-2009 Pontiac G8 Sway Bars

If you are looking for increased cornering capabilities with decreased body roll, BMR sway bars are the answer. These bars are 32mm front(solid) and 21mm rear(solid) to replace the factory 30mm(hollow) and 19mm sizes and add stability to the F-Body platform. Made from cold formed steel to better resist torsional fatigue and retain their "memory" far longer than conventional hot formed bars. This front bar is over 40% more rigid than the popular 1LE swaybar. All packages come with Prothane mounting bushings and endlink kits. 

All of BMR's suspension and chassis components are powdercoated in black hammertone (click link for color sample.) This color was chosen for its neutral characteristics and is a very durable hybrid powdercoat, designed specifically for outdoor environments.

The sway bar tabs on the OE control arm have proven to be failure-prone when stiffer aftermarket sway bars are installed. The nature of the design itself along with the thin OE material just cannot withstand the additional loading created from higher rate sway bars. BMR has a simple bolt-in solution that not only resolves this issue but can be installed in 45 minutes or less!

Made from 3/16" laser-cut plate, the design bolts to existing mounting holes in the control arms upper bracing. The BMR End Link Mounting Brace simply slips under the OE mount and mimics the OE shape. This not only spreads the load out over a greater area but also reinforces the mounting hole with an additional 3/16" of plate thickness.

NOTE: On 2012 models, these braces are only necessary if you are using a pre-2012 style sway bar.
